Bengaluru: Pakistan “arrested” Lashkar -e-Taiba’s Zaki-ur Rahman Lakhvi and Hafiz Mohammed Saeed and both are still free men!
If Pakistan has “arrested” Maulana Masood Azhar whom India lists as one of its most wanted terrorists, but will not officially confirm his arrest or that of his brother Maulvi Abdul Raoof, the mastermind behind the 1999 Air India hijacking, it begs the question - are these arrests for real, is Mr Sharif calling the Pakistan Army's bluff or is it just another elaborate charade which Prime Minister Modi's government will have to go along with?
First reports from Islamabad had journalists being given verbal confirmation from Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's office. Except, within minutes one reporter, who tweeted the news was quickly taken off a group chat of Indian and Pakistan journalists by a Pakistani official.
