AP NIT makes presentation at Global Investors Summit

KAKINADA: National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Tadepalligudem of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday made a presentation at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) on how renewable energy can be promoted in micro, small and medium-scale industries in a country.

Professor Pedapati Sankar and Karri Sri Phani Srikrishna of NIT informed the participants in GIS that their institute in Tadepalligudem has set up a Common Research Technology Development Hub at a cost of ₹ 7.15 crore with financial assistance from the central government.

The hub helps entrepreneurs set up renewable energy projects. Prof. Sankar said their hub is the 18th project in the country but the first among NIT colleges. He underlined that they explained to GIS delegates their plans and aims for the coming four years and how they can help in setting up renewable energy projects nationally and internationally.

AP NIT in-charge director M. Pramod Padole, registrar Dr P. Dinesh Sankar Reddy, Research and Consultancy dean Dr G.R.K. Sastry, and electrical engineering head Dr V. Sandeep congratulated Dr Sankar and Phani Krishna on their successful participation in GIS.
