Education Minister directs DEO to inquire into student\'s death incident

HYDERABAD: A day after a Class III student died under suspicious circumstances, after reportedly falling from an eight-feet high bunk bed at a private residential school, education minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy directed the Vikarabad district education officer (DEO) to inquire into the issue by visiting the school and submit a report.

The inquiry committee is likely to visit the school premises on Monday.

The school is located at Chilapur of Pudur mandal in Vikarabad district. The student died while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Police said Karthik became unconscious after falling from the bed and was shifted to the hospital.
The student's parents are residents of Moinabad. Police said they had not filed a complaint regarding the death.
