Teachers urged to have a humanistic approach
HYDERABAD: The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) Hyderabad Chapter, in association with Lions Club of Hyderabad Malkajgiri, organised a seminar, ‘Challenges in communication in post-Covid classrooms’ at DAV Public School in Safilguda on Saturday.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. J Daniel Chellappa, technical coordinator, DAE, and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Chennai. He underscored the need for teachers to evolve a humanistic approach while dealing with students to make them feel involved.
“A personal link is vital in the present times, since there has been a huge change in the approach of students towards the learning process during the lockdown with online classes creating digital screens and effectively replacing classrooms”, Chellappa added. Shakeel Ahmed and Frederick Michael, chairman and director, PRCI, respectively, and P. Rabindranath Gupta and N. Manohar Reddy from Lion Club were present at the event.
