Revised schedule for PG medical admissions in AP under management quota
Vijayawada: The Dr YSR University of Health Sciences issued a notification for exercising web options vis-a-vis the revised phase-1 counselling on management quota (S1/S2/S3) seats for PG medical degree/diploma courses in non-minority and minority medical colleges. These are for admissions to the academic year 2023-24.
Accordingly, candidates whose names are listed in the final merit position dated August 24 and addendums/corrigendums notified in the university website are eligible to exercise their web options up to 11 pm on September 8.
The YSR university of health sciences registrar Radhika Reddy issued the revised phase-1 notification on Thursday.
She stated that the National Medical Commission, New Delhi, issued a notice on its website on September 5, stating that fake/forged letter of permission to GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry, was issued for increase of seats in MD (radio diagnosis) from 10 to 24, for academic year 2023-24.
“When the NMC was contacted, it clarified through email on September 7 that letters of permission were not issued to GSL Medical College for specialities like MD (radio diagnosis) and MD (emergency medicine) for enhancement of seats for 2023-24,” she stated.
The registrar said that in such a scenario, the revised phase-1 admissions into management quota for PG courses released on September 4, was cancelled. “If any candidate did not exercise web options for the revised phase-1 notification issued on September 7, the web options already saved/submitted by the candidate in the revised phase-1 notification issued on September 1 for MQ seats except for MD (RD) and MD (EM) in GSL Medical College would be considered for the revised phase-1 counselling.
The candidates who got allotment of seats have to pay Rs 49,600 for downloading the allotment letter and the payment is to be made in online mode.
In a separate development, the university issued a notification for conduct of super specialty regular examinations in December. Accordingly, Paper-1, Basic Sciences, will be held on December 12, Paper-II, Clinical Applications-1 on December 14; Paper-III, Clinical Applications-II on December 16 and Paper-IV, Recent Advances on December 18 from 10 am to 1 pm.
