Andhra Pradesh: Teachers Asked to Finish Evaluating FA-2 Answer Books
VIJAYAWADA: Principal secretary (School Education) Praveen Prakash has instructed teachers to evaluate answer books of FA-2 and return them to students as per the schedule.
The official visited various schools on Saturday to witness the Selfie with FA-2 Toppers campaign. He said during his visit, he observed that many teachers have not even evaluated and returned the answer books to FA 2 students.
“Please appreciate that the most important attribute we want to cultivate among students is the sense of punctuality and responsibility of adhering to a timeline. If a student sees teachers themselves not adhering to these attributes, s/he will also be casual towards these attributes. Please ensure that all the answer scripts are checked and returned,” Praveen underlined.
He pointed out another habit he has observed among many teachers is that after giving the checked answer scripts to students, they are being taken back by the teachers.
The official maintained that this should not be encouraged; the evaluated answer scripts should remain only with the students.
Praveen Prakash further said, “I have also observed that DEOs, DVEOs and MEOs just pass on instructions of the government to head masters and teachers. These officials must understand that passing on instructions is only 1 per cent of the work. 99 per cent of the work is getting the feedback and reporting whether or not these instructions have been complied with,” he remarked.
