VIJAYAWADA: School education commissioner S. Suresh Kumar warned private unaided schools against teaching CBSE/ICSE syllabi without taking necessary clearances.
In a release on Monday, the commissioner stated that a few schools in the state that took permission for teaching state syllabi, were, instead, giving admissions on the promise of teaching CBSE/ICSE syllabi.
“Teaching without any permission from CBSE/ICSE boards is a violation of government norms,” the release quoted Suresh Kumar as saying, adding that RJDs and district education officers were ordered to conduct inspections and take action against owners of such schools.
Besides, the commissioner also announced the launch of a single-window system — https://cse.ap.gov.in/PSIS — for getting the necessary permissions.
Suresh Kumar advised school management to log on to the portal and pay the application fee, following which the processing of files will be expedited without delay.
The commissioner said the online method reduces the need to make rounds of government departments, as nods are needed from fire services, municipal, Panchayat Raj, medical, roads and buildings, revenue and transport departments.
“Proposals are sent online directly to the concerned government departments and files are processed in a transparent manner, apart from providing a no-objection certificate and permission to determine accuracy within the stipulated time,” Suresh Kumar said.
He said that there is a stipulated time frame for government departments to provide clearances at each level, while the status of an application and permission orders can be accessed online.
Besides the application fee, the renewal fee can also be paid through the website, he said.
