Praveen Prakash expresses displeasure with teachers
KURNOOL: Principal secretary education Praveen Prakash said the state government had allocated a substantial amount of ₹35,000 crore to the education sector over the past three years for transforming the government-run schools under the Nadu-Nedu programme in the state.
During a surprise visit to Adoni town on Saturday, Praveen Prakash visited the Labour Colony, R.R. High School, Santannapeta Primary School in Kranti Nagar, and the girls’ college in S.K.D. Colony of the town. He expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the students, noting that teachers were not adequately guiding them in textbook learning and class work. He emphasised the teachers' responsibility to ensure students write their lessons in classwork and promptly correct any mistakes.
Further, Praveen Prakash assessed the Gross Enrolment Ratio survey conducted by volunteers and education assistants in Venkanna Baavi Colony and laid stress on the importance of readmitting dropouts and failed students. He informed them about the government’s Amma Vodi and Vidya Deevena schemes and asked them to encourage dropouts to return to school to get benefits.
Adoni sub-collector Abhishek Kumar, joint director of education Venkata Krishna Reddy, DEO Ranga Reddy, GCDO Sunitha, project officer of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Venugopal, assistant director Samuel Paul, MEO Sivaramulu, and other officials were present.
