52,000 teachers transferred so far in AP: Botsa

Vijayawada: Education minister Botsa Satyanarayan said that 52,000 teachers had been transferred so far out of 82,000 who applied for it from a total strength of 1.75 lakh in AP.

Speaking to the media on Monday, the minister said that they had appointed senior headmasters as second mandal education officers and that 679 posts of second MEOs had been filled. He said that as 355 of the first MEOs' posts were lying vacant, they would fill them up with senior school heads.

The minister said that they were providing subject teachers in government and government-managed schools from Class III in addition to setting up interactive flat panels in 60,000 classrooms in the state.
