HC Refuses to Postpone TSPSC Group-1 Prelims

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court refused to postpone the Group-1 preliminary examination, which is scheduled on June 9. Justice Pulla Karthik was dealing with a petition filed by two candidates, M. Ganesh and Bhukya Bharat, who said other examinations were scheduled on the same day.

The petitioners said that they had qualified for the second screening test to the post of assistant Central intelligence officer, Grade-II / Executive in the Intelligence Bureau of the Centre, which was scheduled for June 9.

TPSC standing counsel stated that the schedule for the Group-1 preliminary and main examinations was drawn well in advance and all logistic and other arrangements were in place.

About 4.3 lakh candidates have applied for the Group-1 examination, out of which 70 per cent of the aspirants, numbering about 2,75,300 candidates, had downloaded the hall tickets. For the sake of two candidates, the future of more than four lakh job aspirants cannot be put at stake, standing counsel said. He also said that only 700 candidates were in the fray for the post of assistant Central intelligence officer.
