Vijayawada: Verification of certificates prior to admissions into polytechnic colleges of AP, earlier scheduled on June 3, has been postponed to June 6.
Making this announcement on Wednesday, Technical Education commissioner Chadalavada Nagarani said the verification date has been postponed as section 144 will be in force across the state for three days in connection with the counting of votes on June 4.
As section 144 could pose difficulties for students and parents visiting colleges for verification of their certificates on June 3, authorities have postponed the same to June 6.
Nagarani said there will be no change in the online process dates for payment of admission fees and so on till June 2. However, verification of certificates scheduled on June 3 has been postponed to June 6. Students can register their options from June 7 to June 10.
The commissioner said options can be changed on June 11. Allotment of seats will be completed on June 13. Students whose admissions get finalised from June 14 to June 19 must report to their respective polytechnics in person and online.
Nagarani made it clear that classes will start all over the state from June 14.
She said students can download their rank cards from the website and be prepared for admissions counselling.
