The Hospitality of Telugus Keeps Bringing me Back to Hyderabad: Uppi

Real Star Upendra's cult classic 'A' is all set to re-release in Telugu in 4K. The actor was in the city. In an exclusive interview with Deccan Chronicle, Uppi talked about Tollywood, his work in Telugu movies and why he loves Hyderabad.

Uppi heaped praises on Hyderabad, its food culture, people, and hospitality. However, he refrained from comparing different film industries, respecting each for its unique style and flavour.

Talking about his past collaborations, notably with Allu Arjun in “Son of Satyamurthy,”, Upendra praised Bunny’s dedication. “His dedication and professionalism are noteworthy. Allu Arjun's dedication, efforts and honesty towards the craft is what has taken him to heights. Even director Trivikram Srinivas is excellent.” Even though Uppi has worked in several remakes, he says, as a filmmaker, he prefers original stories over remakes.
