Anjali Reflects on Game Changer's Reception

Actress Anjali recently addressed the box office failure of Game Changer, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. While promoting the Telugu release of her Tamil film Madha Gaja Raja, she spoke about the emotional impact of seeing a project she was passionate about struggle to make a mark.

During a press meet in Hyderabad, Anjali was asked about the lukewarm response to Game Changer. She responded, “As an actor, my responsibility is to do justice to my character. We promote films hoping they succeed, but beyond that, certain factors are out of our control. I’d need more time to talk about Game Changer than we have right now. Everyone knows why I say that.” She was referring to the film’s piracy issues—an HD print was leaked online within hours of its release.

She continued, “There are films you personally believe in and invest so much into. I gave my 200% to Game Changer. The feedback I received from audiences has been positive—no one told me it was a bad film. They appreciated my performance, and that means a lot. But yes, it hurts deeply when things don’t go as expected.”

Just three days after the film’s release, the producers filed a complaint against individuals involved in piracy and extortion. Anjali remains a beloved figure among Telugu audiences, known for hits like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Geetanjali, and Balupu.
