Forget Virushka wedding, Deepika has no time for Sonam Kapoor's wedding either

There was a time when Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor, despite having reportedly dated the same guy, were good friends.

Sonam had indirectly taken a dig at Deepika earlier by saying she wouldn't announce a cause she is rooting for on the social media (after Deepika announced that she wants to do something for the depressed), but that barely affected their friendship.

However Sonam’s recent comment on Deepika’s fashion has allegedly pinched the latter actress, and now, there appears to be one upmanship between the two.

Sonam recently confirmed that she will get married to Anand Ahuja on 8^th May, and reportedly Deepika is all set to get married this year too.

Ever since Sonam announced her marriage, news of Bollywood’s who’s who making it to the guest list made rounds.

Like expected, Deepika might not be a part of the wedding and she co-incidentally has a pretty good reason for it.

Dippy will be attending the Met Gala in New York on May 7^th, post which she will get busy preparing for her Cannes red carpet appearance on May 10^th. Between the two, it seems unlikely that the actress will make an exception to attend Sonam’s wedding which will take place in Mumbai on 8^th May.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Deepika has skipped a wedding. The Virushka (Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma) wedding (one of the biggest events of the year, mind you) which happened in December also was not attended by the ‘Cocktail’ actress.

Just like Priyanka Chopra, we guess Deepika is looking towards Hollywood in order to avoid awkward encounters back at home.
