When Ranbir-Katrina called it quits, director Anurag Basu was nearly at his wit’s end as he had a film to complete with the actors. Jagga Jasoos, which has been in the making for a long time now, had a Morocco schedule planned. However, with the mounting costs due to the delays, we hear the makers want to cancel the overseas shoot altogether.
Last month, the team did go to Morocco for a quick schedule where they shot for few scenes and songs. But now for the next schedule, the city has been recreated in Mumbai itself.
A source reveals, “Anurag has recreated some parts of Morocco to shoot some scenes with Ranbir. And they are not a few patchwork scenes — there are plans to shoot several sequences with the actor and he has already started the process.”
Jagga Jasoos is a musical that will have more than 15 songs. Right from the beginning, the project has been plagued by delays, which shot up the film’s budget by several notches. Now, the makers are having to think of ways to control the costs. Hence, the sets in Mumbai.
