Exclusive: 'She was looking hot', Sonam defends Priyanka's Met Gala dress

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who wore a Ralph Lauren trench coat with a massive trail for the Met Gala 2017, was at the receiving end of much flak for her choice of ensemble. The trolls, among other things, even termed her the brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. However, fashionista Sonam Kapoor feels Priyanaka looked great.

“She looked super cool and she wore it with a lot of confidence. I think you have to go with who you are, and explore and express yourself. She was looking hot. I really loved all her pictures from the event,” says Sonam.

Meanwhile, Sonam who opted to wear a sari designed by Anamika Khanna to receive the National Film Award for Neerja, says it was an emotional moment to receive the award in the presence of her family.

“Yes, it’s an emotional moment to win the award as an actor’s daughter, especially one who is celebrated so much. To win it in front of him was very exciting,” Sonam says.
