The actor’s father was reportedly in a critical condition and hospitalised in Delhi around the second week of September this year. However, the 83-year-old passed away in the early hours of 3rd October 2021.
After hearing the news, Manoj rushed to Delhi from Kerala, where he was shooting for his next project, a yet-untitled film. Mr RK Bajpayee’s funeral will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Nigam Bodh Ghat, Delhi.
Manoj, who seems to be finally getting his due for his talents and is being aptly recognised as the “hero” of the OTT platform, has especially found a lot of praise for his series Family Man and another called Dial 100.
In one of our earlier interactions he’d confirmed that he’d finished Raam Reddy’s film, which was then 80% complete. He was also working with director Kanu Behl, who’d directed the 2014-film Titli. Talking about his projects, Manoj had said, “They’ve put me through the grind, questioned me and forced me to grow and evolve as an actor. I’ll always be thankful to them. Now I’m getting into Abhishekh Chaubey’s project which is in the process of rehearsals and preparations. I’m excited and definitely a little nervous about it because right now we’re working on the character.”
