Box-office collection: Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju crosses 3 Idiots' lifetime collection
Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’, continuing its dream run at the box office, has collected 16.10 crore taking the total collections to 202.51 crore nett in India.
It has surpassed Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan’s previous film ‘3 Idiots’ lifetime collection of Rs 202.47 crores, and thus steadily moving in competition with ‘Padmaavat’ to become the highest grosser of the year.
‘Sanju’ dropped only marginally by Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday standards, minting Rs 25.35 crores, Rs 22.10 crores and Rs 18.90 crore respectively and the fall on Thursday, to 16.10 crore, is also minuscule.
‘Sanju’ is now Ranbir Kapoor’s highest grossing film and as expected, has crossed 200 crore mark in its first week.
With the buzz generated before release and largely positive reviews flowing in, can ‘Sanju’ give records set by ‘Dangal’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ a run for their money?
