RGV Hails director Sandeep Reddy and calls him India's First Expressionist Artiste

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's recent release, "Animal," featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has become a blockbuster hit, drawing both acclaim and controversy. While some criticize the film for allegedly promoting sexism and toxic masculinity, many celebrities, including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Trisha, and Jaydev Unadkat, have taken to social media to laud its raw portrayal of characters.

Adding to the list of admirers is veteran filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV), who shared an extensive four-page review of the film on his social media. He praised Vanga as "India's first expressionist artiste" and commended the filmmaker for his portrayal of characters in "Animal."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, responding to RGV's accolades, expressed gratitude, stating that he believed RGV had contributed significantly to Indian cinema. RGV, in turn, highlighted the distinction between their approaches, emphasizing that Vanga had broken away from traditional templates, destroying the existing system. He asserted that true original filmmakers are expressionists, unafraid of audience judgment, unlike contemporary directors.

RGV further commended Vanga for not judging characters or the audience, providing an authentic cinematic experience. He concluded by declaring Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the first expressionist artiste in the history of the Indian film industry.

On the work front, following the success of "Animal," Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to direct Prabhas in an upcoming film titled "Spirit," emphasizing that it will be a straight Telugu film with a pan-Indian release.
