Telugu star Allu Arjun is all set to play cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in Kabir Khan’s ‘83, a sports biography that revolves around the Indian cricket team’s World Cup victory.
While Ranveer Singh has been cast as the captain Kapil Dev, the other roles are yet to be filled up. One hears that Allu Arjun has almost been finalised for Srikkanth’s role. If this deal is cracked, it would mark the young Telugu actor’s debut in Bollywood and a move towards a wider audience than that afforded by Telugu films.
