I always hurt people's ego, says Kangana Ranaut
Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut, who is currently shooting for the period film film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' took a break from her schedule to launch her upcoming 'light-hearted' film 'Simran' by Hansal Mehta.
At the trailer launch, Hansal was narrating the story of how he was smitten by her acting chops and made up his mind to cast Kangana, even before he had conceptualised 'Simran'.
Hansal's chase for getting Kangana on board started way back, right after her first film- 'Gangster.'
After facing multiple rejections from several actresses, Hansal had turned to the then novice Kangana, who to his utter shock declined the offer, which hurt the director's ego.
Adding to it, Kangana said, "Ego toh mai zarur hurt karti hu, (I definitely hurt egos of people) even though I don't remember the stories (laughs)."
The rebel went on to say how things have always been difficult for her, and she had to fight each time even for the smallest of things, but that's an innate part of her life and she has made 'peace' with it.
"I don't mind people calling me a rebel, I don't take offence. If I deserve to get something, I take it either by fighting or by normal means," concludes the National Award-winning actress.
