Happy Birthday Hrithik Roshan: 5 highlights of the former Greek God's career
Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan has got it all. He has the looks, he can act and dance, and imagine if the guy gave some competition to Shah Rukh Khan at one point of time! Hrithik was termed the superstar of the next generation, and he has stood up to the title with his unique choice in films too. Here are some highlights of his career:
1. From being an AD to his father Rakesh Roshan on the iconic Karan-Arjun sets to having his promising debut with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’.
In a time when Shah Rukh Khan was ruling with movies like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, came Hrithik Roshan with his debut ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. Hrithik was paired with Ameesha Patel in this Rakesh Roshan directorial, but Hrithik’s perfect physique paired with an emotional script made the movie an instant hit among the youth. Hrithik became a household name from this movie itself. Hrithik even managed to bag the film that was going to be written down in Indian history -‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
2. The lull phase
Hrithik tried experimenting with movies like ‘Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage’, ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’ and ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon’ for a year, which to put it mildly, was a huge mistake on his path.
3. The rise of a superhero
But then his father Rakesh Roshan took Hrithik under his wings and made ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, post which Hrithik acquired the status of being the first Indian superhero. He is now gearing up for ‘Krishh 4’, but the actor has also made a niche for himself by choosing films like ‘Dhoom 2’, ‘Guzaarish’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Agneepath’.
4. The affairs (especially the Kangana Ranaut fiasco) and the divorce
Hrithik was happily married to Suzanne Khan till ‘Kites’ happened and his relationship with Barbara Mori started coming out in the open. After some time, his hidden relationship with Kareena Kapoor Khan also started making the rounds. It was then Kangana Ranaut who claimed to have a relationship with Hrithik and the rest, including the legal cases, is history.
5. An idol for the youth
Tiger Shroff has often shared his fondness for Hrithik. The two even share similar qualities like being the best dancers out there. Hrithik also takes time out for his children Hrehaan and Hridaan, who are dearest to him, and he has no qualms in being around his now ex-wife Suzanne. In fact the couple has always stood in support of each other in difficult time. For example, Suzanne has been defending Hrithik in the Kangana case. Hrithik even has the energy like a youth, thus being the perfect role model.
