Feel privileged': Rakul Preet Singh
The film industry has come forward to pledge their help and support to those in need amidst the lockdown.
From contributing to the Central and State relief funds to providing meals, most of them are doing their part to help people during the pandemic.
On Wednesday, Rakul Preet Singh launched her YouTube channel and the revenue generated will go to PM Cares fund.
The actor, who has been toying with the idea for the last few months, has finally taken the plunge amidst the lockdown.
“I have been thinking about having a YouTube channel for some time now but then, I didn’t want to do a half-baked job in terms of churning out content due to time constraints. Now that I have enough time on my hands, I will use the platform to talk about films, food and fitness, among other things,” says the actress adding that the channel will have all things fun.
The actress and her family are also involved in taking care of 250 families of a Gurugram slum.
“I am very grateful that we are in a position to do whatever little we can. We have adopted one slum and my dad goes there every day to oversee the food distribution. He is making sure that everyone stands at a distance during the distribution. Nothing matches to the happiness and joy that you see on their faces on getting the meals. I feel privileged,” she adds.
