A unique pairing of Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu for Soorma

Mumbai: Soorma is Diljit Dosanjh's first ever lead film in Bollywood in which the actor is being paired opposite actress Taapsee Pannu.

It is for the first time that both the actress will be seen together on screen.

Soorma is inspired from true incidents from hockey player Sandeep Singh's life and actor Diljti Dosanjh will be playing Sandeep's character on screen.

Taapsee Pannu will be playing Diljit's love interest in the movie, which will be one layer of Singh’s life.

The actress too plays a hockey player in the film as Diljit.

The pairing of both the actors is exciting as both of them have done very different movies in their careers and it is for the first time they both are doing a story based on true incidents and they both are Punjabi.

Makers of the film have released a song and dialogue promo of the song which shows their chemistry well.

Sandeep is regarded as the most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr which led to his nickname, ‘Flicker Singh’.

The drag-flickers journey – of wins, losses, life, and death – will soon be seen on-screen in Soorma, a Shaad Ali directorial, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu.

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh, and Deepak Singh, Soorma is written & directed by Shaad Ali and is slated to release on 13th July, 2018.
