Akshay Kumar begins shoot for Rohit Shetty's cop drama Sooryavanshi
Rohit Shetty was not in Mumbai but he flew down earlier this week to the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai for a special teaser shoot Sooryavanshi along with the hero Akshay Kumar. “Rohit was in Goa along with his writing team putting the script of the film together when they decided to give the teaser shoot a shot and he flew down for the shoot. Akshay woke up early as usual and reached YRF for the shoot. Like always, Rohit wrapped the shooting within a couple of hours and Akshay also went his way to carry on his workouts. It did not even seem like an effort for both as Rohit too flew back to Goa to write the film again,” says a source close to the development.
The team of Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar along with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh had recently promoted the film Sooryavanshi apart from revelling in the Simmba success at the Umang event for the Mumbai police. And, it does seem that they are working at breakneck speed to make and release the film. Interestingly, late writer Jalees Sherwani had narrated a script to Akshay Kumar on ATS officer K.P. Raghuvanshi called C 60. The story was about a commando squad made to tackle Naxalites. Things seemed to have changed with a new script in place and Raghuvanshi is now Sooryavanshi.
