Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is currently making rounds on the festival circuit with the Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone starrer Kennedy, has already embarked on his next project. During an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, he revealed that he has recently completed scripting his upcoming directorial endeavor. He shared, "Now the actor and everyone will hear the script. So, let's see.
The announcement will come once everything is finalized. I have just finished the script." This update comes from the director of "Gangs of Wasseypur," who is rumored to be venturing into the realm of action cinema for his next creation.
Anurag Kashyap's creative ventures extend beyond directing, as he has also taken up acting roles in a few films. Additionally, he has three Tamil movies in his lineup, including the eagerly anticipated Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Thalapathy Vijay.
Reflecting on this experience, Kashyap expressed his admiration for the filmmakers he has collaborated with, stating, "They are all remarkable filmmakers, and I enjoy working with each of them. My fantasy was fulfilled. I put it out into the universe that I fantasize about having an exceptional sequence in a Lokesh Kanagaraj film. After Lokesh saw the interview, he contacted me and said, 'Sir, come, I have written something for you.' When you genuinely appreciate and love something as a cinephile, filmmakers also value and appreciate that. It was a fantastic experience."
Turning the spotlight back to "Kennedy," Anurag Kashyap is elated that the film has been chosen to conclude the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on August 20. Expressing his excitement, he had previously mentioned in a conversation with Pinkvilla how he holds Melbourne in high regard and has previously attended the festival on three occasions.
He elaborated, "Being chosen as the closing film for Kennedy itself is an honor. Festivals bring together a community of filmmakers from South East Asia, creating a space where you connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for cinema. It's an enjoyable experience."
