Not many know that Nimrat Kaur was offered a role in Wayward Pines just when she had finished promoting Airlift and was busy with her younger sister’s wedding.
Talking to us from Vancouver, she said, "I was insanely busy and was the last person in the family to go for my sister’s wedding because I was busy with the promotions of Airlift. My manager was calling me continuously to read the script and I said that I cannot do it right now. I read two pages in a salon, two in the car and some while the mehendi function was on. I couldn’t have given a screen test but I somehow managed to have a Skype call with them. And within 2-3 days we heard back from Fox and before I knew I was here for the shoot. The paper work started before I reached Mumbai. So it was all like a whirlwind.”
“I play an architect who is married to the main lead. Someone who is just living the life that has been assigned and eventually makes some very different and difficult choices. There will be ten episodes and it will go on air from May this year,” she adds.
