HYDERABAD: Bigg Boss and Salman Khan are synonymous. The most popular TV reality show may have seen many hosts, but none could command the kind of attention and TRPs that Sallu Bhai got for the show.
The Bollywood Bhaijaan started hosting the show from Bigg Boss Season 4 and never looked back. The actor is perfect for the show as he knows exactly what the viewers want. He is known to be kind to the contestants and at the same time, we have seen Sallu school them too when they crossed the line. So there's no doubting the fact that Salman Khan holds a huge mass appeal and there can never be another actor who can match his charisma on the Indian small screen.
Now, if that be the case, the next question one can ask would be how much the actor-turned host earns from the show. Have you any idea how much he charges per episode of Bigg Boss?
Well, a recent report making the rounds on the internet suggests that Salman Khan's salary for hosting Bigg Boss has only grown over the years. If the figures mentioned in the report are anything to go by, then the commercials are huge!
As per the report, Salman Khan was paid Rs 2.5 crore per episode for the first two seasons. Following the show's huge popularity, Salman is said to have doubled his remuneration. Salman took home a whopping 5 crore per episode of BB7, Rs 5.5 crore for BB8. Salman remuneration for Season 9 is said to be anywhere between Rs 7 and 8 crores. The Bigg Boss host was paid a whopping 8 crore as fee per episode for BB10.
When Salman Khan was asked during a press conference if he would actually earn Rs 11crore per episode in Season 11, he laughed it off and asked the media to urge the show maker to pay him that much. However, Endemol COO Nayak's statement that Salman doesn't come cheap, left everyone wondering again!
It is worth mentioning here that Salman Khan is all set to host the second season of Bigg Boss in OTT format.
