Mumbai: Legendary Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati Hospital, in Mumbai suburbs for a regular followup. A source from the hospital told PTI: “Mr Bachchan had come for a routine check-up.” The actor was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and is still there, they added.
As per previous reports by TOI the ‘Coolie’ star was taken to the hospital on an emergency basis at 2 Am, due to a liver problem. It was reported that he was kept in a special room where only his family members were allowed to come.
For the unversed Amitabh had said that only 25 percent of his liver functions and the rest was destroyed due to a blood transfusion 20 years ago. It was needed when his injury’s condition was serious while shooting for Coolie.
On the professional front Amitabh will be next seen in Brahmastra and Chehre. Brahmastra a superhero drama is set to release on 25 December 2019 whereas Chehre a thriller mystery is set to release on 21 February 2020.
