Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi: I am passing the baton to Sonakshi, says Diana Penty

Actress Diana Penty whose film Happy Bhaag Jayegi was a super hit, will be seen in the sequel with Sonakshi Sinha in lead. However, Diana who seems pretty secure in her own space clarifies she is passing on the baton to Sonakshi with the sequel, Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi.

“Ali Fazal and I are kind of playing a smallish part in the sequel. It’s like passing on the baton and handing it over to Sonakshi. I can’t tell you anything more because I will be giving away the story. It’s an interesting story,” says Diana.

Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi is a sequel to 2016 release Happy Bhag Jayegi featuring Diana Penty, Ali Fazal and Abhay Deol. The romantic comedy narrates the story of a girl named Happy, who runs away from her wedding and reaches Pakistan by mistake.

The Cocktail actress further adds, “Anand L. Rai is like my family and this film became a part of me. It was great to hear from them that they wanted to make Part 2. I had no reason to say no.” Diana is currently busy promoting her film Parmanu that is slated to release on May 25.
