John called Akshay after watching Garam Masala recently; here's what happened next

After doing patriotic films back to back, John Abraham is keen on taking up a comedy film, and he wants it to be with Akshay Kumar. In the past, the actors have done three comic films together — Garam Masala, Desi Boyz and Housefull 2, and they’ve all been box office successes.

“I really want to do a comedy film and make the audience laugh. I recently watched my old film Garam Masala and got into a fun mood. I called Akshay and told him, ‘Guruji, let us do a sequel to Garam Masala’, and he laughed and said, ‘Yes, let’s do it.’ Akshay and I want to work with each other again. He is currently doing Housefull 4. Hopefully, I will get to do another comedy film with him,” says John

It is an exciting announcement on the cards and the actor responds, “We may make an announcement soon. It is pretty difficult to do comedy. But if Akshay’s dates and my dates match, my wish may come true. I have a lot of fun with him. We’ve managed to create humour many a time with situational comedy. There was a waterfall scene in Housefull 2 that was completely impromptu. Comedy scenes can’t always be planned. Sometimes they’re created on impulse. That’s the best part of the genre.”
