Exclusive: I'm fond of dancing myself, says Sonakshi on judging Nach Baliye

Sonakshi Sinha is all set to take on television once again, to up the oomph quotient on the dance reality show, Nach Baliye. We caught up with the first-time judge of the show to know what attracted her to the small screen, her movies, and more.

Were you made an offer that was difficult to refuse for the show?
I actually enjoyed my first experience with TV on Indian Idol Junior, where I was judging kids. I was looking for something else that I could do on television, and this came my way. It was hard for me to say no, not because of anything else, but because it’s a dance-based reality show. I’m fond of dancing myself.

What do you personally look for in couples while judging them?
It will be wonderful to see the couples, who are in different stages of their relationships, perform in the show. There are couples who have just started their relationship and then there are those who’ve been married for 20-30 years and are still going strong.

So, I think it’s going to be a great experience to see how they put their relationship through the performance. I will look for how much they support each other, when it comes to putting up a performance, because some of them are non-dancers, and are probably doing a show like this for the first time.

Reports suggest you will be performing with Justin Beiber in his Mumbai concert…
It’s very preliminary. Talks are still on, so it’s very early for me to say anything. I love his music, and I’m very happy that he’s performing in Mumbai. If I get to be with him on-stage, I think it will be a wonderful thing.
