At the premiere of Sarbjit on Wednesday night, the entire Bachchan family was seen. Aishwarya, who plays Dalbir Kaur (Sarabjit’s sister) in the film has been getting a lot of praises post the big premiere.
For Sarabjit’s family, it was the first time that they were watching the final film. They were highly instrumental in helping director Omung Kumar with many insights and details about Sarabjit’s life. Watching the story unfold on screen wasn’t going to be easy for them and we hear, they seemed nervous about watching it too.
A guest at the premiere told us, “Both Dalbir and Sukhpreet (Sarbjit’s wife) were nervous before the film. They had met all the guests before the premiere. During the interval when people were stepping out, the family was inconsolable. They have lived with that pain for two decades and when they saw it on screen, it was a very overwhelming experience for them.”
Later, the family members met the film’s leading actor, Randeep Hooda, who plays Sarabjit, and locked him in a tight embrace.
