Will Saif Ali Khan play main antagonist in Ajay Devgn's Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior?
Mumbai: Ajay Devgn will be donning the role of the unsung warrior of glorious Indian history Subedar Taanaji Malusare, who fought alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj.
According to a DNA report, the makers of the upcoming mega project are in talks with Saif Ali Khan and desire to cast him in for the role of main antagonist in the film.
A source revealed to the daily that Taanaji team is keen on signing the 'Agent Vinod' actor and believes that Saif will make for an interesting choice to play Udaybhan Rathod, the Rajput officer and fortkeeper appointed by Jai Singh, chief of the Moghul army under Aurangzeb.
Last year, Ajay took to Twitter to announce 'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' and even shared the first look poster of his movie.
He captioned the post, "He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare."

If Saif Ali Khan says yes the film, this will be the actor's fourth project with Ajay Devgn, following LOC Kargil (2003), Kachche Dhaage (1999) and Omkara (2006).
The film is based on Battle of Sinhagad in 1670, which was fought between Tanaji Malusare, a commander in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army, and Udaybhan.
'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior' will be helmed by Marathi director Om Raut. It is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
