Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia has been trying to put a new project together since Raees in 2017. Apparently, there was another script tailor-made for Shah Rukh Khan which Dholakia pitched to the Superstar. But Shah Rukh, for reasons best known to him, did not want to go on the repeat mode with the director.
We now hear the project has moved to Saif Ali Khan, and that’s really good news for both the director and the actor.
Says a source, “After the failure of Lal Kaptaan and Jawani Jaanemann where Saif gave his blood and sweat, Saif is currently looking at working with directors he hasn’t worked with before and he has really liked Rahul Dholakia’s script.”
