Tribeca awards 2016: Radhika Apte receives best actress award for Madly
Mumbai: Radhika Apte has often been lauded for her flawless performance in films like 'Shor In The City', 'Manjhi: The Mountain Man' and 'Badlapur' to name a few. Now, she has won the prestigious Best Actress award for 'Madly' (in an International Narrative Feature) at the ongoing Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Interestingly this is the first time an Indian actress has won the Best Actress award at Tribeca, whose previous winners include Zoe Kazan, Hanna Murray and Rachel Mwanza, among others.
'Madly' is a unique feature-length anthology comprised of six, 15-minute vignettes spanning six international destinations. Radhika appears in the 20-minute segment called 'Clean Shaven' which has been directed by Anurag Kashyap.
