Ranveer Singh’s apparent involvement with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, Padmavati, has a new twist in the tale. Ranveer had been dodging questions about the movie ever since he came back from his Swiss holiday.
Even at the launch of Ranveer Ching Returns on Friday, the actor chose to remain mum over his involvement in Padmavati. However, on Saturday night, the actor was spotted stepping out of SLB’s Juhu office, with a huge smile on his face and one can’t help but assume that the late visit was about Padmavati.
Ever since news of Padmavati broke out, the casting of the movie has been a hot-favourite topic of B-Town. Word had it that Ranveer and Deepika were being considered for the film, which is supposed to be based on the oppressive ruler, Alauddin Khilji and his obsession with Rani Padmavati.
When rumours first began to surface about Ranveer being replaced in the film, names like Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and even Fawad Khan were tossed around. However, all this while SLB and the film’s leading lady Deepika have both maintained a studied silence on the matter.
Now that SLB and Ranveer seem to have made their peace, can we expect some good news related to Padmavati coming our way?
