Ajay Devgn: Golmaal series has now become a pension plan for all of us
Mumbai: The wait is finally over for Rohit Shetty's much-awaited 'Golmaal Again' trailer, a fourth instalment in Golmaal series. The makers intrigued us for last two days with not just one but four posters of the film, subsequently excitement picked up soon. Rohit Shetty directed this comic caper and it stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade along with the addition of new members like Tabu and Parineeti Chopra in pivotal roles.
The ‘Golmaal Again’ team has launched the theatrical trailer amidst fans and media galore at the multiplex in Andheri. It was well attended by the fan clubs of actor Ajay Devgn who were super excited to witness the trailer before everyone else.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Ajay Devgn cheekily said, “Golmaal series has now become a pension plan for all of us.”
Tabu, who is latest to join the series, said, “I hope that Golmaal becomes a pension plan for me as well. This film has been extremely special for me because, I am such a huge fan of the ‘Golmaal’ franchise. The amount of laughter that I had during watching the Golmaal series is simply beyond words."
She added, "I remember that everytime I used to meet Rohit, I always used to annoy him about making me a part of Golmaal. I had even told him that I am ready to do even a cameo in the film, as I wanted to be a part of the entire Golmaal gang. Then, one day, I had called Rohit for some reason, that time he said 'There is something for you'. The moment I heard those words, I did not even feel the importance to hear the script as I was confident that he would surely have something good for me in his film. All in all, it was a great experience shooting for Golmaal Again. Also, I think that Golmaal Again is my first film ever wherein I hadn’t used glycerine in the entire film. The entire shooting experience of Golmaal Again was actually a picnic for everyone”.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of mad comedy with a twist of horror in the tale. Like previous parts of Golmaal series, this one too seems to have all ingredients to make a perfect family entertainer. Trailer echoes a tagline from posters of the film – “Iss Diwali logic nahi, sirf magic!”. It shows crazy banter between the characters in the film, which has an ample dose of comedy, action, romance, and spookiness (which only adds fun to the film). The makers of a laugh riot promises to make your Diwali even brighter this year.

Parineeti Chopra, who looked elated to be part of the series, expressed her joy at the event. “All of these people are mad – right from the director to the last crew member. The reason we are able to show all the fun onscreen is only because we have so much fun off-screen. I never thought I’d have so much fun on the set of a movie. I am glad Rohit sir chose me for this film, I thank him”, she said.
Directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment in association with Mangal Murti Films and Rohit Shetty Pictures, ‘Golmaal Again’ is set to release this Diwali on October 20th along with Aamir Khan’s, ‘Secret Superstar’ starring Zaira Wasim in the lead role.
