It was extremely traumatic, nobody should be made to suffer: Mallika Sherawat
Mumbai: Mallika Sherawat pining to be in the news constantly, got her wish when she was allegedly attacked at her posh Paris apartment on Tuesday night when she was getting home with her supposed French boyfriend (whom no one has seen).
In an interview Mallika gasped to CNN, "It was extremely traumatic. No one should be made to suffer the insecurity of having their home broken into or the physical and mental abuse of such an attack."
But, she added, she won’t let this experience stop her from living her life the way she wants.
She told CNN, "Do I get paranoid, do I get security guards around me? Do I want to do that? I want to have a normal life…I think for women it's important to get the message out that we are not going to let this scare us or change our lives…. I am more empathetic to women who live in this fear because of their circumstances or where they live. It's very humbling."
After hearing her impassioned melodramatic outburst, a young actor who had a far-from-pleasant experience working with Mallika commented, “She talks about leading a normal life. When has she ever led a normal life? She ran away from home as a teenager, fled from a marriage to become a Bollywood actor and was surrounded by bouncers and security men long before she became what she thought to be a star. She could barely get along with any of her Bollywood co-stars and headed West for what she thought was her real home-turf. Flopping miserably with two straight-to-DVD films (The Republic Of Love and Hiss), she now claims to be in a relationship with a French man. All the best with that one.”
Mallika also spoke on the attack on Kim Kardarshian in Paris. "I really feel extremely empathetic towards her, she suffered the same emotional, physical and mental trauma that I have."
