My failing health post Daawat-e-Ishq was a wake-up call: Parineeti Chopra
Mumbai: She’s no stranger to body shaming. Parineeti Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut in 2012, has graciously battled the jibes on her figure over the years until she decided to pull up her socks and was determined to lose weight.
At an event recently, Parineeti admitted that losing weight is no easy task. After working out religiously for a year, the actress said, "My failing health post Daawat-e-Ishq was a wake-up call. I was sick of being tired and unhealthy."
The actress, who swears by martial arts form Kalaripyattu, said that her diet secret is "no butter, no meetha".
When asked about gaining weight for a film if the role demands it, she said, "No way. Give me three years to enjoy my new avatar. We will speak after that."
Talking about cousin Priyanka Chopra, who has taken the world by storm, Parineeti said, "Am so proud. We had spoken last week and she had mentioned the cover to me. We were so excited, and the best part about my sister is that she makes her 'time' (for everything)."
On work front, the actress is prepping up for her role in 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. She recently posted a picture and wrote, "Bindu prep on!! Director caught me in a moment ;)"
