Salman Khan on why he stopped maintaining a ‘notebook’
Actor-producer Salman Khan is busy promoting his film Notebook, starring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl, which he has produced under Salman Khan Films. Set in the Valley, the romantic film revolves around a notebook.
At a promotional event for the film, Salman was asked if he has ever maintained a ‘notebook’ aka diary. Admitting to maintaining a diary once upon a time, he says, “I maintained a diary and felt that it was a nice thing to do and on the very first day, I wrote the truth in my diary. But, when I read what I had penned down, I realised that although it was truthful, it will definitely bring loads of trouble to the names mentioned in it. I didn’t want anyone to be in trouble because of what I had written in the diary.
So, I re-wrote the whole thing. But, on reading the content the next day, I realised that whatever I have written now is not truthful. In the wake of trying to save others from falling in trouble, I had re-written the content that is not true at all and now, I could fall in trouble. And, that won’t be a cool thing either. So, I decided to give up on writing a diary. That was the first and last day of penning a ‘notebook’. Thereafter, I have never dared to write a diary at all,” he explains.
Well, makes a lot of sense.
