Pooja Hegde, Shriya Pilgaonkar join Mumbai Saga
Sanjay Gupta’s most ambitious gangster drama now has got its two heroines opposite John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. The film, called Mumbai Saga, will complete Gupta’s Mumbai gangster trilogy after Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala. The makers have already confirmed Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover and Amole Gupte in starring roles.
“Pooja Hegde was signed opposite John Abraham recently, and Shriya Pilgaonkar, who was paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Fan, has been signed on for the other heroine opposite Emraan Hashmi. T-Series is backing the mega project, which will roll at the end of the year. The film is slated to be shot in and around Mumbai to get the realistic feel that Gupta’s earlier two films in the trilogy have,” says a trade source.
Gupta recently completed 25 years in Bollywood when his debut film Aatish completed 25 years of release earlier this month. Aatish released on June 17, 1994 and was also a high voltage action flick.
