My son Karan was always to be launched by me, not YRF; clarifies Sunny Deol
Mumbai: There has always remained immense curiosity amongst the audience surrounding the star kids launch pad in the Hindi film industry. The banner and film they’ll mark their debut from, becomes the talk of the town.
Unlike the debut film of Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan’s Sara Ali Khan, Karan Deol, son of action-hero Sunny Deol's debut film is also amongst one of the anticipated ones. Karan, is anyway prepping up for his debut film ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ by his daddy dearest. Of which, the father-son duo have already shot portions in Manali.
However, contrary to this, there were reports of Yash Raj Films launching Karan into this glamorous world.
Denying about it at the trailer launch of Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade’s ‘Poster Boys,’ Sunny clarified, “My son Karan was always supposed to be launched by me, not Yash Raj Films. Don't know where this news came from?”
In fact, actress Urvashi Rautela, who forayed into Bollywood with Sunny Deol-starrer ‘Singh Saab The Great’, was approached by Sunny for Karan’s film, but she politely turned down the offer.
Junior Deol is reportedly paired opposite 18-yeald-old girl Saher Bamba and the film is said to be an action romance.
Talking about Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade’s ‘Poster Boys’ trailer, the film is an absolute laugh riot. Watching the actors step out of their comfort zones is enthralling. The film is a remake of Shreyas’ acclaimed Marathi production ‘Poshter Boyz,’ which also marks the directorial debut of Shreyas Talpade in Bollywood.
Sunny and Bobby, who're also rumoured to be reuniting in 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 3,' will hit the theatres with this 'Poster Boys' on September 08.
