The reason behind Abhishek's abrupt exit from JP Dutta's Paltan is surprising
Mumbai: Abhishek Bachchan made his debut in the industry with JP Dutta’s Refugee with whom he shares a special bond. Abhishek also worked with the director on LOC Kargil as well as Umrao Jaan alongside his actress-wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, so it surprised many people when Abhishek decided to walk out of JP Dutta’s upcoming film, Paltan.
Amidst many rumours of Abhishek’s exit, the main reason is finally out. As stated in the reports by entertainment portal, a source close to film said, “Abhishek was quite kicked about Paltan. However, he realised after a while that Sonu Sood had more screen space than him. That bothered him considerably. When he discussed his apprehensions with Dutta, he told him that while Sonu had more screen time, it was Abhishek who had a better character written for him. Dutta could not convince him and he backed out at the end minute.”
Interestingly, Abhishek and Sonu have worked together in Yuva and Happy New Year and they also share a good rapport with each other. So, Abhishek’s decision of not doing the film is comes off really surprising. The Guru actor who is known to be quite dignified, has kept quite on the matter.
Paltan, which is based on the Indo-China war of 1962, also has Jimmy Sheirgill, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhary and Harshvardhan Rane as part of the star cast.
On the related note, reports suggest that the actor has replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in an upcoming espionage thriller, RAW, and he will also star opposite his gorgeous wife, Aishwarya Rai in the remake of Abhimaan.
