Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor to reunite on screen in Imtiaz Ali's next?

Mumbai: Will Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan reunite for Imtiaz Ali’s next film? Since Imtiaz and Shahid will be teaming up for a project, rumour mills suggest that they will work on the sequel of Jab We Met. Kareena Kapoor Khan may be approached to play a part in the film.

Kareena and Shahid Kapoor were in a long-term relationship before they called it quits. Their split came as a huge shock to fans who were hoping for them to get married.

Shahid and Kareena last worked opposite each other in the super-hit Imtiaz Ali film, 'Jab We Met'. They had wowed the audience with their great performances in the film. Shahid and Kareena also worked together in 'Udta Punjab', however they had no scenes together.

The ex-lovers are now cordial with each other. In fact, it is believed that Shahid even invited Kareena to his wedding reception and Kareena in turn had then said, “I wish him all the best. It’s a great decision. I met him at YRF a few months ago and he told me he was getting married and I congratulated him.”

Reports suggest that Imtiaz will be bringing the ex-flames together on-screen once again. Imtiaz told a leading daily, “Shahid and I wanted to do a film together. Hopefully, we will. But these things are announced only when the fine print is done. There’s no secret. I cannot say anything till I finalise; we won’t issue a statement.”

When asked if Kareena will be a part of the film, Imtiaz said, “That thought hasn’t come to us yet. We’ve not come this far.”
