Raabta: Seductress Deepika tells the tale of two sundered lovers, very sensually!
Mumbai: If you have missed Deepika Padukone’s bold & sexy avatar from ‘Cocktail’, then this song will give you all the reasons to cheer up. First, a high slit gown on a pair of never-ending legs. Secondly, Deepika’s smouldering eyes!
Set at a party, with two parted lovers longing for one another, Deepika preaches the nuances of the emotion of love in a seductive way. This song, which is a recreated version of the original track Raabta is composed by Pritam, written by Irshad Kamil and Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Nikhita Gandhi & Arijit Singh, works well with the premise solely for its soothing tone and well-engineered beats.
Yes, the lyrics may be along the same lines of ‘Agent Vinod’ track with the same name but a sensuous take on the revamped version has made it refreshing and, unlike other reprised songs, is bearable.
Debutant director Dinesh Vijan, who considers Deepika his lucky mascot, said in an earlier interview, “Deepika gives attention to small details and that makes all the difference. She sat with me for some time to understand the nuances and mood of the song. After that it was a swift shoot. He further adds "I am glad she shot for the title track of my film. I believe she is lucky for me.”
Inspite of a chaotic schedule, the leggy actress shot the song in one night. When Dinesh Vijan messaged to ask her if she could shoot the title track for his film, she instantly agreed. The ace actress worked around her schedule and flew down to Budapest to shoot the song.
‘Raabta’, which means connection in Urdu, stars Kriti Sanon-Sushant Singh Rajput- Jim Sarbh and is slated to release on June 9.
