Hrithik's Super 30 makers ban cellphones, cameras on set to protect this actor's look

The National Award-winning Tripathi will reportedly be seen in a brand-new avatar in this film.

Filmmaker Vikas Bahl’s upcoming film Super 30 starring Hrithik Roshan and Pankaj Tripathi is a biopic of educationalist Anand Kumar, who trains 30 economically-backward students in Bihar every year and helps them crack competitive exams like the IIT-JEE.

The National Award-winning Tripathi, who has aced negative roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Agneepath, will reportedly be seen in a brand-new avatar in this film. Hours are spent getting the actor’s makeup and prosthetics in place before a shoot. And the production team, determined on keeping his look a surprise, has banned people from bringing their cell phones and cameras on set.

“It has been intense shooting for Super 30 because my entire look has been changed. If I go on streets in my get-up, nobody will recognise me. I have been told by the production team to not take any pictures. It is difficult not to take a picture when you’re looking so different, but I want my audience and fans to be shocked by my character, especially since I am playing a negative role,” Tripathi says, adding, “I even ask my own team or the people who come to meet me on set to either leave their phones behind or meet me after pack-up.”
