If Salman Khan-lookalike Pulkit Samrat’s Dolly Ki Doli starring Sonam Kapoor earned plenty of smiles in 2015, his Fukrey franchise earned him a load of money at the box office. After Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, the actor is coming up with Fukrey 3 on public demand. He talks to DC about the project.
Pulkit has had huge support from Salman ever since he entered Bollywood. Recently, the senior actor praised his work on social media, and said he felt Pulkit hadn’t got his due. “Yes, Bhai has seen my journey starting from zero. He has seen me work hard. I am happy that he has noticed my efforts. When he praises me, I feel happy, and try to work even harder,” said an excited Pulkit. “Salman Bhai has huge expectations from me and I hope to deliver,” he added.
Pulkit plays Vikas Gulati or ‘Hunny’ in Fukrey, and the character, along with Varun Sharma’s Choocha, has been grabbing eyeballs from the first part of the franchise. Talking about the third part, Pulkit said: “Choocha has a God-given gift in Fukrey 3. The recently released trailer offered a glimpse of what Hunny and Choocha do together. We cannot reveal anything more. But you’ll find that the fun and madness have gone up manifold, though the essence remains the same. We are sure this part too will touch audiences.”
Talking about the bonding among the team, Pulkit said, “Ten years ago, when we first met for the shoot of Fukrey 1, we were struggling to break the silence amongst us. But now our bond is nothing less than that of a family. We even understand each other’s silences! Members of the Fukrey family unhesitatingly offer each other constructive criticism and all help.”
