After Brothers with Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra is now gearing up for a full-fledged action movie next. The actor has been getting ready for a gruelling schedule for Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D. K.’s next untitled movie. He plans to start shooting for it once he’s done promoting his upcoming release, Baar Baar Dekho. To ensure he gets his action right, Sidharth has also roped in Cyril Raffaelli, the well-known action choreographer from Hollywood to help him out.
Talking about his intense training with Cyril, Sidharth said, “Yes, I’m training with this French stuntman called Cyril. He’s done District 13, the Transporter series, he has trained Jason Statham and many other Hollywood actors. He’s a cool 40-year-old guy — an action director. He knows six martial art forms and he’s training me in a mix of all those, say Krav Maga or hand-to-hand combat, which you can get speed from, while performing action scenes. I train with him whenever I get a break. It’s a full-on action film with a twist.”
Cyril had also recently worked with Akshay for Baby; the movie was lauded for its action sequences and was a box-office hit. Sidharth has already shot some portions for the film in the US with Jacqueline Fernandez. Talking about the movie, the actor says, “We shot in Miami and then I got busy travelling with the Dream Team concert. I’m going to resume shooting as soon as we finish the promotions for Baar Baar Dekho. We’re travelling outdoor for the next schedule, and I will finish the film by the year-end, hopefully. It takes a little bit of time to shoot, since it’s an action film. I’ve got two different looks in the movie and it’s not your typical action film.”
