Small films are important to be made than starrer films: Imtiaz Ali
Mumbai: While making no change in personal Income Tax slabs in the Union Budget 2016-17, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced the budget on Monday. In a conversation with Deccan Chronicle a day before the budget announcement, Imtiaz Ali shared his view on the Union Budget 2016-17.
When asked what is he expecting from the budget Imtiaz Ali said that, " I don't know much about this subject honestly that what all is being expected, so I wouldn't like to comment. I don't know instantly or lately what's going on as far as that is concerned."
"I think that the small films in which new actors act are important to be made more than starrer films because to thrive a film industry needs to get new energy, new talent and if the range becomes big there are lots of talented writers and directors etc then it is easier for the film industry bigger and entertain more people like that and it will grow. As much as we can do as a film industry to make the entry point firstly talent based and then easier for the talent to come in, we should do that. If the government or the budget helps in that way it will be awesome."
